Wedding bells are ringing for veteran actress Lotlot de Leon as she said yes to the marriage proposal of her long-time Lebanese boyfriend Fadi El Soury.
El Soury popped the question to de Leon through a romantic dinner last July 15 at the Nature Wellness Village in Tagaytay City.
According to PEP.ph, de Leon said that they were just having dinner when the waiters suddenly placed a plate of dessert on their table. The words “Marry Me!” were written on the plate.
De Leon uploaded the photo on her Instagram Stories with the caption, “About last night… I said yes”.
“Para akong nablangko for a while!” PEP quoted de Leon.
El Soury said that when he asked de Leon to marry him, the actress became quiet for a while and started to cry.
“I didn’t say anything, I went down on one knee and then I told her, ‘Don’t cry,’” he said.
El Soury said that he planned his proposal for more than a month.
“Well, it’s an opportunity and I was planning it, it’s been actually more than one month [that we’ve been] planning to go out of town,” he said.
De Leon and El Soury met six years ago through a common friend who introduced them to each other. Since then, they started dating and have been in a relationship for five and a half years.
They also said that they will most likely have a beach wedding this coming December.
PEP added that the ceremony will be a civil wedding since El Soury is a Muslim while de Leon is a Catholic.
