Filipino model Clint Richard Karkliñs Peralta who hails from Naga City, brought pride to the country after winning first runner up at the recently concluded Man of the World 2018 pageant which was held on July 14 at the FilOil Flying V Centre in Manila, Philippines.

Aside from his first runner up finish, Peralta also won the Best in National Costume Award, Mr. Congeniality Award, and World’s Choice Award.

During the final question and answer portion, Peralta was asked, “What qualities do you have that will make you the next Man of the World?”, to which he answered, “I value integrity, and I am a man of compassion, commitment, attitude, mind, and passion. And with these, I can inspire people, also, empower society and, most importantly, I can use these as mediums for a positive change.”

Peralta edged out 26 other representatives from different countries all over the world.

Man of the World, which promotes “masculinity with responsibility”, is relatively new in the world of male pageantry. Last year, model Mostafa Galal Elizali from Egypt won the title.

Model and fitness coach Cao Xuân Tài from Vietnam was crowned as Man of the World 2018, while other runners up include from Bjorn Camilleri from Malta, Ondrej Valenta from Czech Republic, and Natapol Srisarn from Thailand.
