Aga’s ‘love letter’ to Lea goes viral

Aga Muhlach’s “love letter” to Lea Salonga that was included in her 2013 souvenir program for her “Playlist” concerts is making the rounds in social media as netizens fell in love with the actor’s romantic words for the lady that he describes as “the one that got away.”

In one of the lines in the letter, Aga attributes the revival of his career to Lea.

“She never knew how she saved me. It was 1992, and I was at the very bottom of the industry. Walang-wala ako noon. Wala akong pera, wala akong (I had nothing. I had no money. I had no career) career, but with ‘Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal’ I made my comeback,” the letter reads, reports the Inquirer.19145932 803679979807963 6349353177700095834 n 1

The letter was included in Lea’s concert souvenir book as she wanted to share to fans pieces of her story that haven’t been revealed or spoken of. Lea described her personal revelations in the book as treasures.

Indeed, Aga’s letter and the actor himself will forever be treasured in her heart the same way he felt for her as his words in the letter says:

“I love her still, but perhaps because she got away. I have her as a friend now, and so I will always have her. Anytime she needs me, andyan ako, anytime I need her, she’s there.”

Aga is married to former beauty queen and TV host Charlene Gonzalez, to whom they have twin children, Andres and Atasha.

Lea reacted to fans’ thread on Twitter reminding that the letter was more than four years old.

“That letter is four years old. Sheesh. Daming late to the party na ngayon lang nagkagulo,” her June 25 tweet read.
