A flight attendant flushed down the toilet of a Dubai-bound plane Dh18,500 (Php271,882) worth of cash after stealing them from three of the passengers of the aircraft.
In an article on Khaleej Times, it was reported that the flight attendant stole the money from the wallets of three brothers, who are on their way to Dubai from Thailand.
He committed the crime while the three were busy attending to their sick father while on the plane.
However, after discovering that the three had reported the incident to the police, he decided to flush the money down the aircraft’s toilet.
He became the prime suspect during investigation after noticing that during the flight, the steward kept on coming to the business class area despite being assigned at the kitchen.
The suspect was arrested after his fingerprint matched with the marks on the wallet. He initially denied the accusation but later admitted the he flushed the cash down the toilet.
The trial was adjourned by the Dubai Court of First Instance to November 11.
