Popeyes returns to the PH after a decade

American fast food chain Popeye is making a comeback to the Philippines after KUYA J Holdings Group, Inc acquired their exclusive master franchise deal.

The brand first opened in the Philippines in 2001 and lasted until 2007 after encountering a problem with the previous franchise order, reported Business World.

Popeyes President Alexandre Santoro said that granting Kuya J Group its franchise is the company’s first major development agreement in Asia.

Popeyes is operating under Restaurant Brands International, Inc, (RBI), which is also the operator of Tim Hortons and Burger King.

Currently, Popeyes fast food chain has over 2,900 restaurants all over the world, making it one of the largest chicken quick service restaurants (QSR) in the world.
