Abu Dhabi Police released footage of a speeding vehicle colliding to a motorcycle biker in a motorway in the emirate.
In the video posted on social media by the police force, the vehicle can be seen approaching the motorbike on a high speed before it hit the bike’s rear.

The video was cut before the biker was mowed by the speeding car.
Abu Dhabi Police said the driver continued to drive carelessly and at high speed despite getting distracted.
The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police warned drivers of the dangers of distracted driving which is one of the main causes of serious accidents.

Police advised drivers that using a phone or eating or drinking, talking to passengers, taking photos or grooming one’s self could lead to loss of focus in driving.
The force said distracted driving is traffic offense with a Dh800 fine and four black points.
