Former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
“Nais ko pong ipaalam sa inyo na ang aking ama, na si dating pangulong Joseph Estrada, ay isinugod namin sa ospital kagabi sa kadahilanan ng panghihina ng kanyang katawan,” former Senator Jinggoy Estrada shared in a Facebook post.
“Na-diagnose na po siya na positibo sa covid 19,” Jinggoy added.

The two-term Manila mayor is reportedly in good condition according to Jinggoy.
“Please pray for my father who has tested positive for COVID-19 and was rushed to the hospital. Please pray for all those who are likewise fighting this virus,” former senator JV Ejercito said in.a tweet.
It’s unclear on how the former president contracted the virus, but netizens share some photos of Estrada attending a family gathering for one of his children’s birthday celebration.
The Department of Health has recorded over 9,000 new COVID-19 cases on the third straight day.
The DOH reported 9,475 new coronavirus cases bringing the total to 721,892 .

The total number of active COVID-19 cases is at 105,568, also another record high. 11 new deaths were recorded increasing the death toll to now 13,170.
The government also recorded mass recovery of 22,000 new recoveries bringing the total to 603,154.
Metro Manila and nearby provinces of Cavite, Bulacan, Laguna and Rizal are now placed under the Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ for one week. (TDT)
