Three demolition workers found dead after old building collapsed in Manila

Three demolition workers were confirmed dead after a portion of Philam life building collapsed in UN Avenue and Maria Orosa Street in Manila on Saturday.

In a GMA News report, two other workers at the building, which is undergoing demolition were also hurt during the incident.

Search and rescue operations were conducted on Sunday and authorities confirmed that the three workers were confirmed dead.

The three were identified as Jomar Torilla, Joseph Lacsa, and Richard Bugarin according to the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.

Initial investigation showed that one of the foundations of the building collapsed which resulted in the accident.

Relatives of the workers were reportedly on site. (TDT)
