UAE authorities warned the public about the new fraud that involves fake websites that offer to deliver food with a compromised payment gateway.
Ajman Police said scammers are creating fake websites of well-known restaurants to steal money.

The card details entered by the consumers are used by scammers to steal their identities or withdraw cash from their bank accounts.
The victims were typically directed to these bogus websites via social media, according to police.

Ajman police also urged residents to check if they are on the legitimate websites of restaurants and food establishments before placing orders and entering their card details.
“Be careful and don’t lose your money by ordering a meal from a fake website,” the police said. (RA)
