The food packs distributed in the town of Opol and in Cagayan de Oro City in Misamis Oriental amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat are complete “go-grow-glow” nutrients, claim authorities.
The packs, aside from the usual rice and canned goods, also include fresh vegetables as part of government efforts to ensure that residents stay healthy while the entire country is battling a health emergency.
In Gapan, Nueva Ecija the town mayor gave away rice and intends to distribute viands and vegetable so that families who are forced to stay home do not have to leave their houses to buy food.
Mayor Emerson Pascual said they intend to give food to 34,000 households.
He also reportedly gave away live chicken.
