Central Visayas region now has 19 additional positive cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) after test results were out today.
In an official statement released by the Department of Health in Region 7 (DOH-7), this now brings the total confirmed cases to 22 with three additional deaths.

According to DOH-7, all of them had pre-existing medical conditions and are over 60 years old.
“All of the new cases are currently admitted and as of the last health bulletin from their hospitals, the majority are stable with one currently in critical care,” Dr. Jaime Bernadas, regional director of DOH-7 said in a statement.

Of those tested, the youngest is a 27-year-old from Cebu province, and the oldest is a 72-year-old from Cebu City.
There were already a total of 229 individuals who were tested in the region at the molecular laboratory of the Vicente Memorial Medical Center, one of the identified subnational laboratories in the country.
