Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said on Sunday that there are 73 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 in the country.
This brings the total of confirmed cases from 307 to 380.

“As of last night, meron na po tayong 380 positive COVID-19 cases. May bago po tayong naitala na 73 mula sa 307 sa kahapon,” Vergeire said in an interview on GMA News.
The Department of Health also said that six more people died from the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 25.

The DOH adds that 15 people have recovered from the virus.
Vergeire explained that the big jump in cases was because of the improved testing capacity of the health department.
