Spain to declare 15-day national lockdown

Spain is poised to declare a 15-day nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Iberian country, BBC reported.
The Spanish government is weighing to impose the measure which restricts the movement of its 46 million people to only emergency situations, to purchase food and to work.

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Friday declared a state of national alarm as cases continues to pile up.

Madrid will be the second country after Italy to do so if the stringent measure will push through.
