Two Asian men aged around 25 were found lying unconscious in the desert near the Al Sajaa industrial area in Sharjah.
Police received a call from a driver of a public transport vehicle at 2am after spotting the two injured men, said a report from Khaleej Times.
The police then rushed to the site and found blood marks on the victims’bodies. They immediately brought them to Al Qassimi Hospital as they have sustained multiple fractures in the legs and bruises in different parts of the body as well as bleeding in the stomach area.
The men, upon regaining consciousness, told the police that other Asians stopped and asked them to get into a car.
When they refused, three of the men beat them up using cricket bats until they fainted and was later dumped in the desert. They were robbed of their cash and belongings, including mobile phones.
The injured Asians would have to undergo surgery.
