Dead man tells no tales. The suspects in the brutal killing of a 17-year-old girl in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu made sure that she would not be able to talk about her ordeal.
This as authorities said that there is a slim chance that stray animals that chanced upon the victims corpse may have eaten the missing organs of Christine Lee Silawan.
Superintendent Benjamin Lara, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory in Central Visayas, said that initial examination found that Silawan’s tongue, trachea or windpipe, and esophagus were missing.
He said her right ear was also missing since the tissue surrounding her neck, and her face were also ripped off.
Lara said that there were no traces of animals feeding on the dead body, which leads to the possibility that the suspects intentionally took the organs.
