17ft. dead great white shark found dead in PH shores

Residents of Barangay Lobbot in Dipaculao, Aurora were shocked to find an unusual creature drifted away on their shores on Wednesday, January 24.

The 17-feet great white shark was found by residents and local authorities lying on the sand but already lifeless.

According to local officials, the shark sustained wounds on its mouth causing it to bleed and its sharp teeth to sag.

Authorities said that the shark might have been involved into a fight with another sea creature that eventually killed it.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office already buried the dead creature.

Great white sharks are considered “vulnerable” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) because of its decreasing numbers.
