Xander Ford denies mocking Kathryn Bernardo’s physical appearance

Xander Ford got emotional during a radio show, denying allegations that he made insulting remarks against actress Kathryn Bernardo.

In his guest appearance on radio station MOR 101.9 with DJ Chacha, Ford said he would not mock Bernardo’s appearance by calling her “bow-legged” because she has always been one of his inspirations to enter the show business.

Ford was allegedly caught on a video saying Bernardo cannot be the sexiest woman in a men’s magazine because he has never seen a bow-legged sexy woman. The video, however, does not show Ford’s face, and only features a voice that resembles his.

“Alam po ni ate Kath na iniidolo ko po siya. Isa rin ako sa mga fanboy niya. Isa rin kami sa naghahangad na mapansin kami kaya never ko pong nasabi kay ate Kath yun,” he said before bursting into tears.

Because of the alleged video, and his conflict with comedian Ogie Diazwho earlier accused him of being arrogantFord admitted that he wants to keep a low profile for a month.

“Nahihiya po akong humarap sa mga taosa mga kapwa artista ko po,” he admitted.

He also revealed he kept on getting death threats and hateful messages from the fanbase of loveteam KathNiel (Bernardo and Daniel Padilla).

DJ Chacha advised Ford to report the incident to the National Bureau of Information Cybercrime division to find out who is behind the video.

During the radio show, Ford pleaded the person behind the video to come out and admit that Ford was not the one who made the insulting remarks against Bernardo; “Sana po sa mga gumawa nun, sana po [bawiin] niyo po yun. I-post niyo po na hindi talaga ako yun,” he said.

After the video surfaced on the internet, Bernardo, on her instagram account, urged her fans to stand up against cyberbullying. However, she did not say whether or not her post was a response to Ford’s alleged remarks.
