The killer cop who was caught on video shooting point-blank his neighbors in a viral video pleaded not guilty to the murder charges filed against him.
In an Inquirer report, Lt. Col. Soledad Elifanio, public information officer of Police Regional Office 3, said Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca was arraigned on Jan. 7 at a local court and entered a “not guilty” plea.
Nuezca is facing two counts of murder for killing Sonya Gregorio and her son Frank after a heated confrontation in front of their house.
The victims were shot at a close range last December 20, which had triggered public outrage.
Nuezca surrendered to the police a few hours after the crime and the Philippine National Police are set to dismiss him from service.
The next hearing for Nuezca is scheduled on February 4.
