Seven people sustained minor injuries in a fire that broke out in a high-rise residential building in Al Nahda area, Sharjah on the evening of May 5. No casualties were reported.
The injured were all taken to hospital for treatment, according to Sharjah Media Office.
The entire 48-story Abbco Tower was evacuated before the fire started to engulf a large portion of the tower.
Some elderly people complained of breathing difficulties, but they were all assisted on site.
Firefighters brought the fire under control after three hours.
The cause of the fire is not immediately known.
