HOW TO: SSS members including OFWs who lost jobs can apply for up to P20,000 aid

Social Security System (SSS) members affected by the COVID-19 and lost their jobs can get up to P20,000 cash benefit.

Edmar Charles Rodel, an SSS member who was among those who claimed their SSS Calamity Loan, thanked the government agency for aiding him through the pandemic. He shared that he used the funds for his motorcycle and sari-sari store business.

At nakapagdagdag puhunan sa sari-sari store,” said Rodel.

For overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), they can get their certification from the Philippine Overseas Employment Office to avail of the SSS benefit.

Fernan Nicolas, concurrent head, Public Affairs and Special Events of SSS, said the cash benefit will be equivalent to one-month salary credit.
