DOH looking at classrooms as isolation areas for COVID-19 patients

The Department of Health (DOH) said that they will convert some classrooms into isolation rooms to treat patients of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
Health Secretary Francisco Duque said that moderate cases of COVID-19 could deteriorate into severe or critical cases, which will then need isolation rooms.
“Iyong isolation rooms, tutugunan ng ating barangay health emergency response teams para tukoy na kung saan nila ilalagay… isa nga rito ang mga eskuwelahan, mga kuwarto ng eskuwelahan,” Duque told ABS-CBN News.
Makeshift isolation rooms will have a 2-meter gap to ensure comfort between patients.
The country has 935 isolation beds in public hospitals and 390 were already occupied.
The Philippines has 217 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 17 fatalities and 8 people have recovered.
