DOH: Another Filipino recovers from COVID-19, total cases now at 187

The Department of Health has confirmed that 49 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country, bringing the total to 187. 
 
This is by far the biggest jump of confirmed of cases in the country since the first local transmission case was recorded early this month.

Meanwhile, the DOH said that another patient has recovered from the virus. 
 
He is identified as PH25 or patient 25. A 31-year-old male from Negros Oriental. He was also among those who were repatriated from the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan.

He tested positive for the virus last March 9. 
 
There are now four patients who recovered from the virus. No new deaths were recorded.
