Kuwait will halt all commercial flights to and from Kuwait International Airport starting on Friday, March 13, until further notice to curb the spread of coronavirus, state media KUNA reported Wednesday.
Incoming flights to Kuwait International Airport will be restricted Kuwaitis and their first-degree relatives, a government spokesman said in a statement.
Meanwhile, cargo flights are still permitted to fly in the Gulf state.
Kuwaiti government also banned its citizens from going to “restaurants, cafes, and commercial centers.”
As of Wednesday, there are 70 cases of coronavirus in Kuwait.
