A 14-year-girl was badly beaten up on Monday by two female and two male classmates and the reason could be jealousy.
The suspects waited for the victim a few meters from the school where they hit her several times, pulled her hair, scratched her face, and kicked her until she lost consciousness, GMA News reported.
The incident happened was a public place but no one helped the victim.
The victim said the reason could be that one of the suspects became jealous of her. She related that the boyfriend of one of the suspects was frequently seen at her house, but this was only because he was friends with her brother.
The victim said she recognized the two girls who beat her up, but she does not know their male companions.
The father of the victim already filed a complaint at the school and barangay and is seeking for justice for his child.
A conference was conducted at the school between the suspects and the victim, but only one of the suspects expressed remorse for what occurred.
The school had not issued a statement as they are still consulting with the Department of Education. The police also declined to issue a statement as an investigation is still ongoing.
