The death toll from novel coronavirus has reached 170, state-run Global Times reported
As of January 29, 2020, Hubei Health Commission confirmed 37 new deaths from novel coronavirus.
Hubei, which is the center of the outbreak, reported 1032 new cases over 24-hour period, bringing a total of 4,586 confirmed cases in the province.
The National Health Commission on Wednesday said the Tibet Autonomous Region confirmed its first case of 2019-nCoV.
The number of confirmed cases has reached 7711 in mainland China, surpassing the number of Chinese SARS cases during the deadly 2003 outbreak.
