Duterte signs Php4.1T 2020 national budget

President Rodrigo Duterte has already signed into law the Php4.1-trillion national budget for 2020. 
This was signed on Monday afternoon in a ceremony in Malacanang, as per a report by the Philippine Daily Inquirer. 
 
The 2020 budget is considered the country’s largest budget to date which is approximately 9 percent larger than the 2019 national budget. 
 
The P1.495 trillion or 36.5 percent of the national budget accounts for the social services sector accounts. It will fund human capital development programs in education, health, housing, and social protection. 
 
The P1.2 trillion or 29.3 percent of the budget is allocated for economic services. 
 
There’s P581.7 billion for the infrastructure development, particularly for the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and P100.6 billion for the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
