The Integrated Transport Centre in Abu Dhabi posted a statement on their social media announcing the truck ban on a specified area of Abu Dhabi Island/Yas Island from Tuesday, December 31 to Wednesday, January 1, 2019, in order to improve traffic safety, reduce accidents and help the flow of traffic.
The ITC urged motorists to drive safely while following the traffic rules and regulations.
Traffic patrols would be intensified and key roads will also be monitored during this period.
