This town in the UAE has no recorded crime from January to September this year.
Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police announced this on Monday saying they owe this to the “competent criminal, traffic and administrative teams” there along with Al Jazeerah Al Hamra Police Station.
Major-General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, General Commander of the RAK Police, says this has boosted the “sense of safety and security among the people in the emirate”.
Al Jazeera Al Hamra town has a “Safe Community” initiative that helped them achieved this.
Col. Ahmad Abdullah Jakkah, chief of Al Jazeerah Al Hamra Police Station, said they have specialized patrols deployed round the clock at hot spots including residential and industrial areas. They have also collaborated with their criminal investigation teams.
In order to also raise awareness on safety, they have distributed brochures in different languages, especially to factory workers.
