DOLE: Slovenia to offer 2,000-5,000 jobs to Filipinos, salaries higher than Middle East, HK

The Department of Labor and Employment has announced that Slovenia will soon hire Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Labor Chief Silvestre Bello III said that Slovenian government is ready to accept 2,000 to 5,000 workers.

The jobs would range from household service workers at skilled workers like engineers and truck drivers.

Applicants do not need to study their language as long as the jobseeker can speak English.

The two countries will be coming up with a bilateral labor agreement in three months.

Job orders may start pouring in these months but DOLE wants to make sure that Filipino rights  are protected when working abroad.When asked how much would the salaries be, Bello said it is higher than those working in the Middle East, Hong Kong.
