The hashtag #facebookdown trended on Twitter early Sunday morning.
Most of the tweets were from the Philippines.

However, according to a report by Rappler, they said DownDetector also reported areas in the United States and parts of Europe and Latin America as affected as well.
At least 57 percent reported that they were having trouble accessing their newsfeed in a timely manner while 22 percent are reporting trouble logging in to the service, and 17 percent said they’re experiencing a total blackout on Facebook.
As of this writing, Facebook has not yet issued any official statement about the outage in some parts of the world.
