Two days after since he took his post as Manila Mayor, Isko Moreno stayed true to his campaign promise to clean the streets and make Manila city trash free.
Netizens shared photos of Divisoria, Carriedo and Juan Luna streets which were previously known for being crowded, dirty and full of vendors.
“Kala mo nasa Ayala ka lang,” a netizen wrote in one of Moreno’s social media accounts.
“I hope and I pray it will continue. But the challenge is when Christmas season begins,” another netizen commented.
“Akalain mo kalsada pala sa Carriedo. Kilala ang nga kalsada na yan na marumi, mapanghi, ngayon may kalsada na,” Moreno said.
Moreno vowed to make sure that police would be present in the area and prevent vendors from occupying the streets.
“We will bring back our roads to the pedestrians. Very simple. Hindi siya rocket science. Ang kalye, dapat daanan ng tao at sasakyan. Nothing more, nothing less,” Moreno added.
