Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Boy Locsin Jr. said that he has no plans to take a break on his Twitter because he has a ‘patriotic duty to stop stupidity’.
Locsin admitted that he made a mistake calling Vice President Leni Robredo ‘boba’, as per his interview with ABS-CBN News.
“I said sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. I then realized not only did I hurt her feelings but I hurt her children’s feelings and I hope they never forgive me for that because you never hurt children. Although I am insulted, but my children are tough so they don’t care,” Locsin said.
Locsin said that he never reached out to Robredo after the incident.
“As far as I am concerned, if I was her I wouldn’t accept me reaching out to her. I never fool myself. When I do wrong, then I do wrong,” Locsin added.
The DFA Chief said that what happened with Robredo taught him a lesson.
For now he has no plans of taking a break from Twitter.
“No. I would want to get out of Twitter, but then I cannot. I have this obligation, which was inculcated by my father working on Free Press, I cannot allow stupidity to flourish,” he said.
