2019 ushers in a new wave of peace, unity, and tolerance in the UAE as the country and the whole world begins to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan that starts today, May 6.
UAE leaders have since sent out greetings to each other as well as to fellow leaders in the Middle East.
Mohamed bin Zayed exchanges Ramadan greetings with Arab leaders
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in telephone calls, has exchanged greetings with a number of leaders on the occasion of Ramadan.
He exchanged the greetings with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, and the Emir of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Egyptian President Abdel Fatah el Sisi, Iraqi President Barham Ahmed Salih, and Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait.
H.H. Sheikh Mohamed conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also extended sincere congratulations and best wishes for further progress and prosperity for the leaders and their countries.
The leaders also wished for continued good health for H.H. Sheikh Khalifa, and for sustained prosperity for Arab and Muslim nations.

Mohammed bin Rashid greets President, Mohamed bin Zayed on Ramadan
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has sent cables to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed sent a similar cable to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers, Emiratis and the Arab and Muslim communities in the UAE on the occasion.
He also congratulated the UAE Armed Forces on the holy occasion, praying to Allah Almighty to bless the UAE with further prosperity and progress.
He urged the UAE people to double efforts and promote the quintessential Emirati values of charity and goodness and strengthen kinship ties during the Holy Month.
Sheikh Mohammed sent similar cables to the rulers and heads of state of Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion.

Sharjah Ruler greets UAE leaders on advent of Ramadan
H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has sent a congratulatory cable to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing him good health.
