The United Kingdom has opened its doors for Filipinos who want to earn as much as P139,000 (Dh10,079) a month.
Senator Joel Villanueva announced that UK companies are looking for Filipino civil engineers, foremen, nurses, caregivers, computer programmers, cooks, bookkeepers, and cashiers.
“The UK has generously offered us a variety of job opportunities fit for our world-class skilled workers,” Villanueva said.
Villanueva, who chairs the Senate committee on labor and employment said civil engineers and nurses can earn up to P139,000 (Dh10,079) and P113,000 (Dh8,194) per month, respectively.
He added UK companies offer monthly compensation of P61,000 (Dh4,423) for caregivers, P350 (Dh25.37) per hour for cooks, and a P286 (Dh20.73) hourly rate for bookkeepers and cashiers.
Senator Villanueva believes that Filipino workers are very much qualified for the demands of the global market.
“This is the best time for our fellow kababayans looking for employment abroad to grab this opportunity,” he added.
