A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck Surigao del Norte Monday afternoon shaking several towns in the province.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) pinpointed the epicenter of the 3:41 p.m. quake at 34 kilometers northeast of Burgos town at a depth of 12 kilometers.
The quake was felt at Intensity 4 in Burgos; Intensity 3 in Tacloban City and Palo in Leyte and in Surigao City; and Intensity 2 in Libjo, San Jose, Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands.
Phivolcs said no major damage and aftershocks were expected from the earthquake, according to ABS-CBN News.
