Qatar Airways arranged three charter flights in Saudi Arabia Tuesday to fly stranded customers in the kingdom to Oman, where they can take free flights to Doha aboard the airline’s own planes.
The chartered planes will fly customers in Jeddah to Muscat, according to a statement from Qatar Airways.
Qatari passengers were instructed Tuesday to make their way to King Abdulaziz International Airport to avail of the three flights to Muscat.
Qatar Airways arranged the alternative flights for customers affected by the ban of flights to and from Qatar imposed by the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt’s. The three Gulf countries and Egypt abruptly cut diplomatic relations with Qatar at the same time on Monday and closed their borders to Qatar planes, ships and trucks.
In a Twitter post on Tuesday, the airline announced the alternative flights to all customers booked on affected flights.
“All affected passengers in Doha en route to the Saudi Arabia have been assisted with alternative onward travel arrangements,” the airline said in a statement.
The airline also said it will make a full refund on any unused tickets and free rebooking to the nearest alternative Qatar Airways network destination.
Qatar Airways further clarified that its flight services to other destinations are running normal and without disruption.
