Heeding the call to make the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) tickets free, its organizers is set to give at least 10,000 tickets on different games and on its closing ceremony, Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) chair and Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano announced Friday.
“We will release 10,000 tickets to the public,” Cayetano told reporters. “Aside from the 10,000, a few thousands of tickets to the LGUs (local government units) hosting the SEA Games.”
The House Speaker added that the tickets to be given away are for games that are not yet sold out.
“So far, ang sold-out or halos sold-out na is basketball and volleyball and football where the Philippine team is playing,” Cayetano said.
“There are non-ticketed sports, which are open to the public and there are no complimentary tickets due to full capacity,” he added.
