Vice President Sara Duterte blamed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for what she described as “chaos” in the Senate and across the country, alleging abuse of power and political persecution by the administration.
Duterte said recent events reflect what she called the misuse of government authority and disrespect for the Senate as an institution.
“What you are witnessing sa bayan natin is grave abuse of power,” Duterte said.
She further accused the Marcos administration of mobilizing state resources against political opponents.
“So, what we are seeing now is the administration using all government resources to demolish political opposition or those individuals who do not follow or agree or support BBM. Nagkakagulo lang tayo dahil kay BBM,” she added.
In response, Malacañang Palace dismissed Duterte’s remarks, saying it would be “more embarrassing” to comment on statements they described as baseless and lacking substance.
Malacañang added that the country needs public servants focused on governance rather than those spreading intrigue and misinformation.
