Authorities in the United Arab Emirates on Monday issued a follow-up phone alert assuring residents that the situation was safe, after an earlier warning about a potential missile threat.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Interior said residents could resume normal activities but advised the public to remain cautious and continue taking necessary precautions.
The reassurance came less than 30 minutes after an initial emergency alert instructed people to immediately seek shelter and wait for further guidance.
It was the first such warning issued by authorities since early April.
