Dubai airport ramps up operations as UAE lifts airspace restrictions

Following the lifting of all precautionary restrictions on UAE airspace, Dubai International Airport has entered the next phase of recovery, with plans to gradually restore normal flight operations.

Dubai Airports said it will ramp up daily flight movements, allowing airlines to progressively reinstate their schedules.

However, capacity at the hub remains dependent on the availability of regional flight paths beyond the United Arab Emirates, highlighting how airport operations are closely tied to neighboring countries’ airspace.

Authorities are continuing to coordinate with regional partners to optimize air traffic flows across the wider region, including at Dubai World Central.

The ramp-up is being supported by the “oneDXB” network, involving key carriers such as Emirates and flydubai, alongside service partners and air traffic control.

Dubai Airports said the coordinated effort helped maintain the movement of passengers and cargo during recent disruptions, while enabling a faster increase in flights as conditions improved.
