President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. assured Filipinos that government services will continue without interruption despite the country’s ongoing crisis.
The Philippines is currently under a state of national energy emergency due to surging global oil prices, driven by tensions in the Middle East following US-Israel attacks on Iran.
In a vlog released, Marcos said government agencies remain fully operational and committed to delivering services across all sectors, stressing that public service will not be halted amid any crisis.
“Kahit pabigat ang krisis natin sa enerhiya, ang trabaho ng gobyerno ay hindi maaaring doon lang tumigil. Patuloy lang ang paggawa ng mga kalye at daan, patuloy ang pangangalaga sa mga may sakit, sa mga estudyante. Hindi pwedeng huminto ang pagpuksa sa krimen, hindi rin pwedeng tumigil ang pagsuporta sa ating mga atleta, sa kultura, sa sining, sa turismo,” he said.
“Patuloy ang trabaho sa lahat ng sangay ng gobyerno. At ‘yan naman talaga ang dapat dahil hindi natin hahayaang maparalisa ang serbisyong binibigay ng gobyerno ano man ang problemang hinaharap,” he added.
The President also highlighted ongoing government housing initiatives, citing his visits to projects at Crystal Peak Estate in San Fernando, Pampanga, and Pasinaya Homes in Magalang, Pampanga, as part of efforts to expand access to affordable housing.
