Ireland-based Filipino triathlete August Benedicto delivered a commanding performance at the Century Tuna IRONMAN 70.3 in Subic Bay Philippines on June 7, 2026, finishing with a time of 4:40:38 to top the overall standings.
The 42-year-old endurance athlete from Paniqui, Tarlac, powered through the demanding course to secure victory in the men’s division, reinforcing his reputation as one of the country’s most accomplished long-distance triathletes.
Following his win, Benedicto shared a celebratory post on social media, saying: “Good day today! Finished first overall in Subic Bay 70.3 celebrate with my Bulalo!”
Benedicto’s latest triumph adds to an already decorated career that includes a 2017 Asian Elite classification title and the 2022 IRONMAN 70.3 Cebu championship.
