As the May 2022 elections nears, the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrat Party (Lakas-CMD) is hopeful that there will be a landslide victory for the tandem of former senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Both Marcos and Duterte retain their lead in the latest Pulse Asia survey for March 2022.

Marcos reported a 4-percentage point drop while Duterte-Carpio had a 3 percentage-point gain.
“We thank our people for keeping faith with our candidates. We pray that they will continue supporting them and sharing and spreading their message of hope, unity, and patriotism,” Lakas-CMD president Martin Romualdez said in a statement.
“As Mayor Sara has stated, we have a running-scared mindset. We will do our utmost to improve our candidates’ 56-percent voter support. We remain hopeful of a landslide victory,” he added.

The tandem vowed to revisit some areas in the final stretch of their campaign and would also try to reach remote places.
