Sharjah’s Department of Vehicle and Driver Licensing has announced two-year validity for registration of certain vehicles in Sharjah.
While generally every car is registered for a one-year validity in the UAE, the Department said that criteria for the two-year validity is limited to new vehicles with insurance valid for at least two years.

All vehicles are registered with each Emirate’s traffic authority through service centers, websites, or smart applications of the traffic department concerned.
While the registration process involves getting the car inspected at testing centers, clearance through meeting quality standards ensures the vehicle being issued a registration card called mulkiya. (AW)
