The UAE passport has been hailed as the third most powerful passport in the world according to the latest index issued by the Arton Capital-Canada.
UAE also maintained its title as the most powerful passport in the Arab world.

Anyone holding a UAE passport can travel to 134 countries around the world, including 86 countries without a prior visa, and 48 countries with visas to be obtained online or upon arrival.
Arton attributed the top ranks of the UAE passport to the positive diplomacy adopted by the UAE leadership.
Moreover, the UAE has successfully opened its doors to tourism and commercial activities, and resumed operations at international airports despite the challenges set by the global health crisis.

Finland, Austria, Italy, Ireland, Japan, South Korea and the United States were tied with the UAE in the third place, all of which achieved a score of 134.
The recognition came after Dubai Airports reopened Terminal 1 and Concourse D at the Dubai International Airport on June 24. (RA)
