Former President Benigno Noynoy Aquino III was laid to rest at the Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Paranaque on Saturday, June 26.
Aquino’s final resting place was located beside the tomb of his parents former Senator Ninoy Aquino and former President Cory Aquino.
Aquino’s four sisters Ballsy, Viel, Pinky, and Kris, his brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, friends, and colleagues brought Aquino to his resting place.

The 15th President was given full military honors.
Armed Forced of the Philippines chief General Cirilito Sobejana handed over the folded Philippine flag to Aquino’s eldest sibling, Ballsy Aquino-Cruz.
Kris Aquino on the other hand placed Aquino’s urn to the tomb. The song ‘Bayan Ko’ played while the tomb was being sealed.
Prior to the funeral rites, a mass was held at the Church of Gesu at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Archbishop Socrates Villegas presided over the mass.
Aquino died on June 24 after succumbing to renal disease secondary to diabetes.
He served as Philippine President from 2010-2016. He was 61 years old. (TDT)
