Boarding passes for all domestic flights of national airlines have been linked with the Tawakkalna health app and will be issued electronically to passengers whose status in the app is “immune,” “immune by first dose,” “immune by recovery” or “no record of infection, according to the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
This initiative resulted from the cooperative efforts of the government agencies including the Presidency of State Security, Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, Health Ministry, and the national airlines.

The Tawakkalna App, which was launched last year to help track COVID-19 infections has been updated to include vaccination information and infection status reports, besides also being used as a COVID-19 “passport.”
Earlier, the GACA advised all foreign travelers and their companions coming to Saudi Arabia that they should complete registration of COVID-19 immunization data prior to their departure.
It also noted that the registration is applicable to all citizens from Gulf Cooperation Council countries, holders of new visas, residents, and their companions, both inoculated and non-vaccinated.
