Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has urged Sen. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao to study the country’s foreign policy before criticizing his efforts in dealing with China over the disputed West Philippine Sea.
Duterte said Pacquiao should educate himself first with the foreign policy before criticizing his stance on the disputed waters.

“While I do did not want to degrade Pacquiao, he has a very shallow knowledge and needs to study foreign policy well,” said Duterte during an interview recently with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Duterte is the chairman of the ruling party Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan while Pacquiao is its current president.

Earlier, Pacquiao said that President Duterte’s efforts were “found lacking” in asserting the Philippines’ sovereign rights in the disputed territory.
Meanwhile, President Duterte reiterated that the Philippines would not go to war with China over the conflict in the disputed waters. (AW)
