“Celebrating life and hope amidst Covid-19” was the global message by Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo at the virtual International ASEAN-Japan Music Festival, where she is representing the Philippines for the second time.
Geronimo highlighted 2020 as challenging and painful year filled with anxieties alongside job losses, also wondered when the pandemic will end. However, she also appealed for unity, kindness, and care for everyone with the message to be grateful, one day at a time.

“Let love and kindness rule our hearts every day — because I believe there are still reasons to celebrate life and build lasting memories with loved ones, despite the fear and limitations brought by the pandemic,” said Geronimo, who urged people to eschew resentment and choose peace and freedom over hate.
Describing this effort as hopeful but seemingly hard to do, she reiterated the need to continue celebrating life and creating beautiful memories with loved ones anytime because “this (pandemic) too shall pass.” (AW)
