The Dubai Police managed to recover stolen diamonds worth thousands of dirhams inside a hotel in just four hours.
Authorities found out that the suspect was a European man who picked up the diamonds and brought them to his hotel room.
The police said that they have received a complaint from a woman who said that her diamonds were missing. She could not however remember where exactly did she lose her jewelry.

Officers from the Bur Dubai police station searched the locations she visited but didn’t see any of her diamonds in those areas.
The police officers reviewed the hotel footage and saw the European man picking the diamonds inside the hotel, as per reports from Khaleej Times.
Authorities confronted the European man and later on, they searched his belongings and found the items in a small bag.
The missing diamonds were returned to the owner as fast as four hours.

The police reminded the public to return items to the appropriate authorities or face legal consequences for failure to do so.
“If the person is not able to go to the police personally, he or she should at least inform the police operations room,” said the Dubai Police.
